I noticed yesterday that a web page almost has the same value in my mind as a building (a restaurant, a house, etc). For exemple, I'm on a bulletin board displaying wish users are connected. I'm there, alone, and then I see a friends name appear. At that time, my reaction is "Oh, [my friend's name] as arrived!". From where? He never left any place, but arrived. Then, I feel his virtual presence, I acknowledge his existence, because his name is written on the bottom part of a BB.
